Vic is a Certified Scrum Trainer with the Scrum Alliance.

Early in his career, Vic owned a restaurant, volunteered with Americorps, taught English in Japan, and worked on films in Los Angeles. In the heady 1990s he was a webmaster for the auto industry in Detroit before becoming a back end Java developer using XP practices at the University of Michigan's Hospital.

Vic relocated to California in 2002 to earn his MBA (University of Southern California) in Technology Management while working at Sony Pictures, then worked as a project manager for Panasonic.

Since 2011, Vic has worked only in Scrum / agile implementations. He has managed staff, facilitated large groups (75+), trained over 600 workshop attendees, and presented to thousands. Vic says that Agile has changed his life, allowing him to be the most effective, passionate and happy he's ever been over his long and winding career path.

Vic hosts the Agile Coffee podcast and is an Agile coach, facilitator and trainer with LeadingAgile. He lives in Orange County, California with his wife and daughter.

About the Class, in Vic's Own Words

Nearly ten years ago I started the world's first Agile Coffee meetup, and the podcast came shortly afterwards.

My Agile journey continued as I presented at, facilitated and organized Agile and Scrum conferences (including co-chair of the 2017 Scrum Global Gathering in San Diego), learning from smart minds all along the way.

It's the accumulation of these experiences and conversations that you'll benefit from when you attend my class.

I took my years of experience (and my filmmaking background) and built my online certified scrum master class from the virtual ground up, paying attention to the needs of busy adult learners, and making use of collaborative technologies, interactive spaces, and robust multi-media.

We'll keep the class moving, but I will always make sure that every one of your questions and concerns gets addressed: whether it’s in class or during a break, or even weeks after the course has ended.

When it comes to the Certified Scrummaster exam, I'm one of the few trainers whose students have a 100% pass-rate, and I’m happy to hop on a call to guide you through your preparation for the CSM test. Your success is my priority!
